Integrated Maritime Management System
One radar to camera picture of everything moving across your waters, built by NGS for platforms, ports and coastlines that can't afford blind spots.
OVERVIEW
Every sensor, one operating picture
IMMS fuses maritime radar, electro-optical and infrared cameras, and AIS vessel tracking into a single command-and-control platform, giving operators continuous, real-time awareness across wide stretches of coastal and offshore water.
The architecture is open by design: weather stations, SWIR cameras, VHF radio, and tide sensors can all be brought into the same picture as a site’s requirements grow.
It is built for environments where a missed detection has real consequences, including offshore platforms, oil terminals and FPSOs, ports, coastlines, and government or defence installations.
DEPLOYED FOR
- Offshore oil & gas platforms
- Oil terminals & FPSOs
- Ports & harbour infrastructure
- Coastal & border surveillance
- Government & defence sites
Key Capabilities
What the system actually does
Four capabilities work together: sensing, watching, deciding, and seeing through weather, so operators get a correlated picture instead of four separate feeds.
Multi-Sensor Integration
IMMS integrates multiple technologies into a single unified system:
- Long-range maritime radars
- EO/IR cameras (day/night, thermal, optional SWIR)
- AIS for cooperative vessel identification
- Optional sensors (UAVs, perimeter systems, etc.)
All sensor data is fused and displayed within one operational interface.
Real-Time Detection & Tracking
- Automatic detection of marine targets, including small and non-cooperative vessels (e.g. speedboats, wooden boats)
- Continuous tracking with radar-to-camera correlation
- Target classification and prioritization
Advanced Command & Control Software
The core of IMMS is its C4I software platform (SovaN application), enabling:
- Unified operational picture
- Automatic radar-to-camera cueing
- Alarm and event management
- Recording and playback
- Decision support tools for operators
Enhanced Vision with EO/IR & SWIR
- Reliable day/night surveillance in harsh environmental conditions
- Long-range thermal detection capabilities
- Optional SWIR technology to improve visibility in:
- haze
- high humidity
- challenging maritime atmospheres
Built For The Field
Offshore-ready by construction
Offshore-Ready Design
Built specifically for offshore deployment
- No on-site welding required (custom mounting structures prefabricated onshore)
- Heavy-duty brackets and corrosion-resistant materials
- Fiber optic backbone for long-distance connections
- Surge protection for power and signal lines
Network Resilience & Operational Continuity
Stays online, and stays useful when it isn't
- Fiber-based communication backbone
- Local recording capability on offshore platforms
- Full remote control from onshore command centers
- Continuous operation even in case of communication loss
Drone Integration (Optional)
IMMS can be integrated with UAV systems to:
- Extend surveillance beyond fixed sensor range
- Perform rapid inspection missions
- Track moving targets over extended distances
System Architecture
System Architecture IMMS follows a modular, scalable architecture:
- Sensor Layer
Radars, EO/IR cameras, AIS, UAVs - Communication Layer
Secure IP network with fiber backbone - Control Layer
Command & Control software and operator workstations - Command Center
Centralized monitoring with multi-display configuration
Operational Concept
- A radar detects a target at long range
- The system automatically cues the EO/IR camera
- The operator receives video feed and AIS data (if available)
- The target is identified, classified, and tracked
- Alerts are generated and operational decisions are supported
